Bergman Homes For Sale

Today, the community of Bergman is bounded by Yellowhead Trail (Highway 16), 122nd Avenue, 34th Street, and 50th Street, however, this area did not always belong to Edmonton. This region was once a small town named Beverly, and the name of this neighbourhood honours Gustave Bergman, who was once the mayor of the town. This neighbourhood, like many around it, was first settled when a series of coal mines were constructed in the area in the late 19th and early 20th century. While at the time it included vast industrial areas, today this is almost completely a residential neighbourhood.

Amenities Near Bergman Real Estate

Bergman real estate belongs to a primarily residential community. As such, streets are quiet and lined by mature trees. For most of their educational, commercial and entertainment needs, local residents rely on the surrounding communities. The closest mall, Abbotsfield Shoppers Mall, is located a few minutes to the southeast. One of the important points to know about Bergman homes is that although the Yellowhead Highway is directly to the north, a state of the art sound wall prevents traffic noise from reaching the community. Thus the convenience of being next to a major route is not accompanied by the noise.

Within the community itself, there is a large park with an excellent playground that caters to children of all ages. In addition to a well curated playground, there is also an expansive greenspace where children can play ball, families can picnic, and dogs can delight in a game of fetch.
