Even the airport is only a short 30 minute drive away! There are two schools in Canora: The Brightview Elementary School, and Holy Cross Elementary Junior High School.

There are two parks located in the neighbourhood limits: Canora Park, and the park where Brightview School is located. Both parks features ample green space with shaded picnic spaces, sports fields, and playgrounds. Given that this is one of Edmonton’s older communities, there is a strong focus on walkability. You’ll find wide sidewalks on tree lined streets connecting you with friends and family. To the southeast, at the corner of Stony Plain Road and 149 Street, the MacKinnon Ravine Park begins. Residents love walking the kilometres of well-maintained trails that transport them into a lush forest all the way to the North Saskatchewan River.

Just north of Stony Plains Road in south Canora, you will find a No Frills, London Drugs, Wellness Centre, and local businesses and restaurants. A more comprehensive shopping centre can be found to the west of Canora at 95 Ave and 170 Street at the Terra Losa Shopping Centre.
