The development of the Glastonbury community is still underway, and only started in the 1990s. This neighbourhood is a in a premium location on the Western edge of Edmonton, West of the Anthony Henday Drive ring road, North of 62nd Avenue, South of Whitemud Drive, and East of the Granville neighbourhood. The planned composition of the neighbourhood would include plenty of single family detached homes as well as apartment style and townhouse style condominiums, as well as a public school, but at the time the work is still continuing, forming a closely knit and dynamic community. The Glastonbury real estate market is in constant flux, but current the prices range from under $200,000 to $1.2 million.

A large number of apartment style and some townhouse style condos have appeared in Glastonbury in the past few years. The prices range from around $180,000 to $430,000, while the condo fees are around the $300 mark.

Recreation and Amenities near Glastonbury Real Estate

As a very new and developing neighbourhood, Glastonbury is only now forming as a self-reliant and fully serviced area of the city. At the time, the residents rely on the public and private schools in other neighbourhoods nearby for educational needs, while the commercial and entertainment needs are met by the local shopping area in the South of Glastonbury, as well as the nearby West Edmonton Mall. As development continues, new non-residential buildings will appear here as well.
