Lendrum Place, named after Robert Lendrum, the land surveyor who had first mapped out this part of what is now Edmonton, is a neighbourhood hidden east of the University of Alberta farm, just South of the South Campus - Fort Edmonton Park LRT Station. The area, bordering on 51 Ave, 61 Ave, 111 Street and 115 Street, was only fully incorporated into the city after the Second World War. Mostly you will find single family detached homes and some apartment buildings here. The price range is from under $400,000 to around $450,000.
Lendrum Place Real Estate
Most of the Lendrum Place real estate would have been built in the 1960s. Condos do come up for sale here occasionally (they make up about a quarter of all residences in Lendrum Place), and this is certainly an excellent location for anyone that wants to not live downtown or in a busy area and yet be well connected to everything Edmonton has to offer.
Schools Serving Lendrum Place Edmonton Real Estate
For a rather small neighbourhood, Lendrum Place is well served by two public schools - Avalon Junior High and Lendrum. A home in Lendrum Place would also be in immediate proximity to the diverse Southgate Center (right next to the South-Eastern corner of the neighbourhood) and local stores for your commercial needs. Public transit connections through the LRT and regular bus service make this the desired location for many home buyers every year.
