Summerlea Edmonton Real Estate, Homes for Sale

The poetic name of the Summerlea neighbourhood of Edmonton refers to a green field with wildflowers during the summertime. That being said, the community does have a large park, although the main feature of Summerlea that makes it different from every other neighbourhood in the city is the fact that most of it is occupied by West Edmonton Mall, one of the largest in the world. The boundaries of Summerlea are 87th Avenue to the South, 178th Street to the West, 95th Avenue to the North, and 170th Street to the East. Most the residential development here occurred in the 1970s and 1980s, and consists of single family detached homes as well as townhouses and low rise apartment buildings. The price range for these units is from under $200,000 to just over $400,000.

Townhome style condos in Summerlea are certainly worth taking a look at. These are mostly in buildings dating from the 1980s but renovated in recent years. The prices are in the $200,000 area, while the monthly condo fees are from $250 to $300.
