This historic heritage home was originally built in the spring of 1904, (16) months before Canadas Prime Minister, Sir Wilfrid Laurier granted Alberta and neighbouring Saskatchewan, status as Provinces of Canada. It was constructed from clear old growth Douglas Fir. The solid fir boarding encasing the original fir studs is what provides this home with structural integrity that far exceeds the standards of today’s new built homes. Because of it’s incredible condition, superb location and historical significance, the owner undertook a massive professional restoration and redesign in 2004 celebrating the homes 100th birthday. The list of renovations completed during its makeover included, new roof, new siding, new wiring, new insulation, new plumbing and fixtures, entirely new floor plan, chefs kitchen, skylights, custom low riser stairs, imported carpeting, extensive hand crafted solid oak detailing, new windows and much more. The home provides practical functionality with timeless design.
